Badda murder: Arzina confesses, Shahin remanded

Staff Correspondent: Arzina Begum, wife of slain Jamil Sheikh, gave confessional statement before a Dhaka court in the double-murder case at the capital's Badda.

The court placed her lover Shahin Mollik on a four-day remand in the case.

Judge Sadbir Yeasir Ahsan Chowdhury of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court recorded the confessional statement and placed Shahin on remand on Saturday. 

Earlier, Md Shakhawat Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI-Civil) of Badda Police Station, also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case appeared them before the court and sought seven-day remand for Shahin.

It may be mentioned that Jamil Sheikh, 38, and his seven-year old daughter were found dead at their rented house of 306, Moynarbag of Badda in the capital on  November 2.

On the afternoon, Jamil's brother Shamim filed a case with Badda Police Station in this connection, accusing Shahin Mollik, 26, and Arzina, 30.
