Three killed in Bagerhat road crashes

Bagerhat Correspondent: At least three people were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents on Bagerhat-Khulna highway on Saturday.

The deceased are- two cattle traders named Mizan Haldar, 30, Al Amin Sheikh, 28 and a driver named Mukul.

Bagerhat Katakhali highway police SI Jamal Sheikh said that a Jessore-bound pickup collided with a passenger bus in Shreeghat Bailey Bridge area, leaving four people injured.

Later, locals rushed to the spot and sent the injured to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the two cattle traders died under treatment.

Besides, Deputy Assistant Director Sardar Masudur Rahman of Bagerhat fire service said that two passenger buses collided head-on in Barakpur Bus stand area under Bagerhat Sadar upazila, leaving the bus driver Mukul dead on the spot and injured two others.
