Ban on gathering in JS Bhaban area

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police have banned any sort of procession and public gathering in Jatiya Sangsad area ahead of the 19th session of 10th Parliament, until the end of session.

A press release signed by DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah in this regard was circulated on Friday.

The restriction will be in effect from midnight of January 6 until the session ends.

The road stretches that come under the purview of the ban are Mohakhali crossing to Bangla Motor through Old Airport; west corner of Bangla Motor Link Road to Saarc Foara (fountain), east side of Panthapath to Farmgate via Green Road intersection; Shyamoli to Dhanmondi, Road 16 (old 27); Rokeya Sarani intersection to Bijay Sarani via Old Ninth Division circle; east side of Indira Road to west side of Manik Mia Avenue and the restricted areas around the parliament building.
