Banani fire: Hospitals instructed for emergency treatment

Secretariat Correspondent: The Health Directorate instructed all the government and private hospitals of the capital to provide emergency treatment to fire victims of Banani’s FR Tower.

Alongside, all health care organisations were asked to send ambulances to the spot to take the injured to hospitals.

Dr Abul Kamal Azad, Director General (DG) of the Health Directorate, confirmed the news.

He said that the instructions were issued immediate after the fire broken. He himself is supervising the activities at the spot.

Some 9 injured were admitted to hospital till 3:00pm.  Of them, eight were admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital and another was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
