Banani fire: Tasvirul secures bail

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court granted bail to Tasvirul Islam, one of the owners of FR Tower in a case filed over the devastating fire that ripped through 22-storied FR Tower at Banani in the capital, killing 26 and leaving some 70 people injured on March 28.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Tofazzal Hossain passed the order after hearing a bail petition filed by Tasvirul on Thursday afternoon.

Former Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Ehsanul Haque Samaji move the bail petition on behalf of Tasvirul.
