Bangla-English mixed words banned on radio

Secretariat Correspondent: Information Ministry has issued directives to the country's radio stations to stop Bangla-English mixed words to present programmes.

A letter signed by Tarana Halim, State Minister of the Ministry, revealed the directives in this regard on Friday.

Ministry sources confirmed the news on Saturday.

The letter said, "Wrong and distorted representation of Bangla-English mixed words must be stopped."

Tarana Halim said, "We issued directives to stop the Banglish (Bangla-English mixed words) which was frequently used for different programmes of radio stations."
