Bangladesh-Sri Lanka 2nd ODI washed out

Sports Desk: The second ODI between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was called off due to nonstop rain at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

The match was called off at 8.45pm, an hour and 15 minutes before the cut-off time.

Earlier, winning toss, Sri Lanka opted to bat first and scored 311 runs in 49.5 overs.

BKG Mendis made 102 from 107 balls thanks to nine fours and a six while WU Tharanga scored 65 runs from 76 balls.

Bangladesh's bowler Taskin Ahmed made a hat-trick. He bagged four Sri Lankan wickets giving 47 runs. Besides, Mashrafe Mortaza, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman took one wicket each for 55, 50 and 60 runs respectively.
