Bangladesh U-15 boys clinch SAFF Championship title

Sports Desk: Bangladesh boys clinched the title of SAFF U-15 Championship routing Pakistan 3-2 on penalties in the final at ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal on Saturday.

The game entered directly into the tie-breaker after the normal time of 90 minutes ended 1-1.

The boys in red and green went ahead in the 25th minute through a Pakistan own goal before the opposition equalised in the 54th minute from the penalty spot.

This is the second title of Bangladesh in SAFF U-15 Championship. Earlier in 2015, Bangladesh beat India at home ground to clinch the first title in the maiden edition. In the second edition in 2017, Bangladesh was sent off defeating by Nepal in semi-finals.
