Sports Desk: Bangladesh men’s hockey team secured their consecutive second win against Kazakhastan by 6-1 following the first win against Oman in the Pool-B match at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Hockey Ground in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Bangladesh showed brilliant performance since the beginning of the match against Kazakhastan. The Red and Greens took lead 1-0 when Fazle Rabbi secured a goal at the 11th minute. Rasel made it double, securing another goal at the 14 minute while Mainul hit third goal at 19th minute.
Khorshed hit two goals from corners at the 32nd and 48th minute, pushing Kazakhastan on back-foot.
In their remaining Pool matches, Bangladesh will play against Malaysia, Thailand, and Pakistan on August 24, 26 and 28 respectively.
