Sports Desk: Pacer Mustafizur Rahman has struck and sent Gunathilaka back in the 3rd T20I of the tri-nation Nidahas Trophy at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Saturday.
Gunathilaka scored 26 runs off 19 balls with 3 fours and a six before Mustafiz bowled him.
The Host Sri Lanka scored 135 for 1 in 13 overs while the report was filed around 8:44pm.
Kusal Mendis, 51 off 28, and Kusal Perera, 46 off 31, were batting.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first against the hosts.
Both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka fielded their unchanged best elevens who played in the last two matches against India in the seven-match tournament.
The match got delayed by 15 minutes due to rain and wet outfield.
Mahmudullah Riyad-led Tigers will take the ground to turn their form with a win after a six-wicket loss against India on March 8, while Sri Lanka for the 2nd victory in the tournament, starting with a five-wicket win against India in the opener on March 6.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka looks as opposite ends of the confidence scale as the visiting side could not register win in any international match since January 23, since the Tigers lost two ODIs, two Tests and three T20s on the trot at home. They lost 13 of their last 14 T20Is and will need to find ways to get back to their form.
Sri Lanka on the other hand looked like complete reverse with their success in Bangladesh.
