Bangladesh name Test squad against Australia

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh will play two Test matches against the visiting Australia. Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 14-member squad against Australia on Saturday noon.

The selectors have recalled all-rounder Nasir Hossain and pacer Shafiul Islam in the squad. However, the selectors did not consider Test regulars Mahmudullah Riyad and Mominul Haque.

Young Mosaddek Hossain, who missed most of the practice sessions due to an eye problem, has been retained by the selectors after his impressive debut in Sri Lanka in mid-March.

The selectors picked three pacers for -- Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Shafiul Islam – in the squad.

Liton Das has been included as the wicketkeeping understudy for skipper Mushfiqur Rahim.

Bangladesh team includes Mushfiqur Rahim (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Imrul Kayes, Mehdi Hasan Miraz, Liton Kumar Das, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Taijul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman.
