Bangladesh thrash Maldives in SAFF U-18 soccer

Sports Desk: Bangladesh boys thrashed Maldives by 2-0 in the in SAFF Under-18 Championship in Bhutan on Wednesday.

Bangladesh took early lead as Saikat Mahmud Munna posted the first goal in the 14th minute at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu.

Jafar Iqbal, who scored two goals in the inaugural match against India,  doubled the lead for Bangladesh before the half-time.

The game ended with 2-0 as Maldives could not post any goal to Bangladesh net in the second-half.

Earlier on Monday Bangladesh boys recorded an incredible 4-3 victory against India from 0-3 down in the first match.
