Bangladesh vs Pakistan wrap up match on a tie

Sports Desk: The Group B match of the Asian Cricket Council Teams Cup between Bangladesh and Pakistan ended as a tie Sheikh Kamal International Stadium, Cox's Bazar on Thursday.

Winning toss, Pakistan players scored 233 runs losing eight wickets in their stipulated 50 overs.

In reply, Bangladesh boys scored the same runs. Bangladesh needed seven runs off the final over but both Saifuddin and Neyeem Hasan could take six singles with Saifuddin on strike when the final ball was bowled.

Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque scored 75 runs facing 137 balls while Mohammad Mithun scored 53 runs playing 79 runs.

Mohammad Saifuddin took three Pakistani wickets while, Abul Hasan and Nasum Ahmed bagged two wickets each.

Although the match ended as tie but Bangladesh finished top from the group courtesy of a better run-rate.
