Bangladesh women reach final of World T20 Qualifier

Sports Desk: Bangladesh women's cricket team reached the final of the ICC Women's World T20 Qualifier at the VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen, beating Scotland by 49 runs on Thursday.

With the victory, Tigresses secured spot in ICC Women's World T20 Cup to be held in West Indies in next November.

Performances of Bangladesh women team in the qualifying tournament carries on the purple patch they had embarked upon by winning the T20 Asia Cup in Malaysia last month. They then beat Ireland 2-1 in Ireland.

They won all their three group matches, not allowing a single opponent to go past 100. They restricted Papua New Guinea to 84 for six, before skittling out the Netherlands and UAE for 42 and 39 respectively.
