Barca fined 20,000 euros

Sports Desk: UEFA's Disciplinary Committee have fined Barcelona 20,000 euros for failing to organise their Champions League group stage match with Tottenham Hotspur on December 11 in an acceptable manner.

The sanction follows article 11 (1) in the disciplinary regulations of "insufficient organisation".

"The member associations, just like the clubs and their players, officials and members, and everyone assigned by UEFA, have to respect the rules of the game, the UEFA regulations, managers and decisions and fulfil the principles of ethical conduct, loyalty, integrity and sportsmanship," this article states.

Ajax have been fined 52,500 euros for throwing objects and further crowd incidents in their quarter-final with Juventus on April 10.

Tottenham have been fined 10,000 euros for improper conduct of their officials and their coach in the match against Ajax on April 30. Mauricio Pochettino has been given a one-match suspension for delaying the start of the game, but the sanction is suspended for one year.

Porto have been fined 42,500 euros for organisational reasons against Liverpool, and their coach Sergio Conceicao has been suspended for one game for delaying the start of the game.

Benfica coach Bruno Lage has been suspended for one match for protesting repeatedly against a match official in their Europa League quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt. The Portuguese club have been fined 1,000 euros for the throwing of objects.

Frankfurt, meanwhile, have been fined 34,000 euros for organisational reasons and an attempted pitch invasion by their fans.
