Biman Bangladesh Travel & Tourism Fair begins

Economic Correspondent: A three-day long Biman Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair 2018 has begun in the capital.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal inaugurated the fair organized by Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) on Thursday.

Shahjahan Kamal said the tourism of Bangladesh is a potential sector. It’s a time to buildup tourism carnival centering various types of event including Pahela Baishakh, Eid and others.

Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Nepal ambassador Professor Chaklal Ghoshal, Maldives envoy Ms Aishath Shaan Shakir, envoy from Vietnam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB), Dr Nasir Uddin, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Chairman Akhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir, Association of Travel Agent Bangladesh and others attended the function. 

Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) along with Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), Nepal Tourism Board, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Ministry of Tourism of India are taking part along with other foreign organisations in 10 pavilions, 18 mini-pavilions and 160 stalls.
