Biman to begin direct flights for Guangzhou, Medina

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Biman Airlines is expected to operate direct flights for Guangzhou in next July. Besides, Biman will also operate flights to Medina in Saudi Arabia from October 27 this year.

Biman's General Manager (public relations) Shakil Meraz confirmed the news.

He said, “We applied to China government for operating flights to Guangzhou. We finally got approval in this regard. We decided to start direct flights on Dhaka- Guangzhou route from the first week of next July.”

“Besides, we are also expected to operate flights on Dhaka-Medina route from October 27 this year,” he said.

Biman also began flight operation on Dhaka-Delhi route since Monday.

Currently, Biman is operating flights on 16 routes which will rise to 18 after inauguration flights on Dhaka- Guangzhou and Dhaka-Medina.
