Black money whitening scope to continue

Economic Reporter: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan has said that the scope of whitening black money will continue in the upcoming national budget.

The NBR chairman said this at a pre-budget discussion with Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) at the NBR headquarters in the capital's Segunbagicha on Tuesday.

He said, if it is not allowed to whiten black money, money will be smuggled, investment in the country will be hampered. For this, we will allow to whiten money. Do not take it differently”.

Earlier, the REHAB sought unconditional chance of investing black money (legally acquired undisclosed money) in the housing sector.
