Boat capsize: 14 bodies of Rohingya found

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Police recovered 14 bodies of Rohingya people whose boat capsized near Inani sea beach in Ukhiya upazila of the district on Thursday.

The boat capsized this evening and the bodies were recovered around 5:30pm from Patuartek area of Inani.

Locals said that the boat carrying ethnic Rohingya fleeing violence in Myanmar have capsized in the area due to heavy wave in the sea. Meanwhile, fishermen informed police station and recovered 14 bodies.

Confirming the matter, Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge (probe) Kay Kislu said that another team of police and Upazila Nirbahi Officer rushed to the spot.
