Bodies of Chalkbazar fire victims being handed over to families

Staff Correspondent: The handover of bodies of the people, who were burnt to death in the devastating fire that broke out in old Dhaka’s Chalkbazar area last night, have begun this afternoon.

The handover process started with handing over the body of one Nure Alam hailing from Begumganj upazila of Noakhali to his relatives.

Md Selim Reza, additional divisional commissioner of Dhaka initiated the handover process.

The Chalkbazar fire incident took place at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday night that claimed 70 lives, including three children and five women, so far.
