Bogura gunfight kills one

Bogura Correspondent: A terrorist was killed in a gunfight with police in Matidhali Bridge area of the district town early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Apon alias Sizar, 32, son of Nur Hossain Khandakar.
Police said on information that a group of miscreants took position in the area to commit robbery; a police team led by additional police super conducted a drive around 2:00am.
Meanwhile, sensing presence of police, the miscreants opened fire aiming police. In reply, police also opened fire which triggered the gunfight. Later, a bullet-injured man was found in the spot. He was taken to hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
A pipe-gun, two rounds of bullets and two sharp were recovered from the spot.
Sanatan Chakrabarty, additional police superintendent (media) said that Apon was wanted in eleven cases including five fire arms cases.
