Boiler explosion kills woman in Dinajpur

Staff Correspondent, Ranpur: A woman was killed and 30 others injured as a boiler of a rice mill went off in Chhehelgazi union under Dinajpur Sadar upazila on Wednesday noon.

Witnesses said that the boiler of Jamuna Automatic Rice mill exploded around 11.30am leaving the woman dead and injured at least 30 workers injured.

On information, two fire service units rushed to the spot and rescued burnt workers.

Later, critically injured 22 workers were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Confirming the matter, Redwanur Rahim, OC of Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station said that investigation is underway in this regard.
