Bomb hurled at ASP’s vehicle, one bullet hit

Chuadanga Correspondent: A police vehicle carrying Chuadanga Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abu Rasel came under attack on Sunday night.

An attacker hurled a bomb at the vehicle around 8.00pm when it reached a refuelling station in Darshana on Chuadanga-Jibannagar Highway.

The suspect, identified as Titu, was shot by police when he tried to flee the scene after the attack, police further added.

Titu is the son of Mozahid of Islam Bazar in Darshana. The blast damaged the right windowpanes of the vehicle. However, the ASP and other policemen escaped the attack unhurt, sources said.

Titu was taken to Dhaka for better treatment.

A case was filed with Damurhuda  Police Station against Titu.
