‘Book distribution info makes foreigners astonished’

Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that the government had distributed 265.99 lakh books among students across the country in last nine years. All the books were delivered on January 1 every year. It is a huge job. Foreigners become astonished hearing information of the huge number of books.

The Minister said this while speaking at a seminar at Jatiya Press Club on Saturday.

Nahid said the incumbent government is managing admission, taking examination and publishing results on time. Books are being reached students on January 1 regularly. This is a big success.

One-third people of the country is involved in education sector directly or indirectly. There now 5 crore students in the country. At least 25 lakh teachers engaged in teaching. We are very much sincere to expand education, he added.
