Building owner, night guard held

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has held the building owner and night guard after their operation at the militant hideout in Mirpur.

The detainees are building owner Habibulla Bahar Azad and night guard of the lane Sirajul Islam.

Meanwhile, RAB resumed its operation at the militant hideout in Mirpur on Thursday morning.

Mufti Mahmud Khan, RAB director (legal and media wing), said, "There are some unexploded bombs and explosives in the building. Bomb disposal units are working to defuse the bombs. After checking everything in the building, legal procedures will be taken."

RAB officials said that there some Improvised Explosive Device (IED), chemicals and acids in the militant den.

Criminal Investigations Division's crime scene unit, DB police and other law enforcers are also working with RAB in the spot.

Earlier, Members of RAB recovered seven charred bodies, including two women and two children, from the militant hideout at Mirpur’s Mazar Road in the city.
