Bullet-hit body found along Thakurgaon border

Thakurgaon Correspondent: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a man along Rantnai border area in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon.

The deceased was identified as Sahidur Rahman, 27, son of Khatib Uddin, hailed from Harinmari village of Baliadangi upazila.

Local sources said Sahidur and some others entered into Indian territory crossing border illegally in Pillar number 382 of Ratnai border area on Saturday night. Meanwhile, BSF personnel from Sonamoti camp opened fire, leaving him bullet-injured.

Amjankhor union parisad Chairman Md Akalu said that the body was recovered around 11:00pm.

Baliadangi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Chitta Ranjan Das said that the body will be sent to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
