Businessman shot dead in capital

Staff Correspondent: A businessman was killed and three others were injured as miscreants shot on them at Banani in the capital on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Siddique Hossain, 55, owner of MS Munshi Overseas.

The injured were known as Mirza Parvez, 30, Mokhlesur Rahman, 35, and Md Mostafizur Rahman, 39. They are workers of Munshi Overseas.

According to police, miscreants entered into Munshi Overseas of Banani B/Block, Road no. 113 and fired indiscriminately on the workers, leaving four wounded. They were rushe to the United Hospital where Siddique succumbed while undergoing treatment.

Abdul Matin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banani Police Station, confirmed the news to risingbd.
