Businessman shot dead in city

Staff Correspondent: A brass and copper businessman was shot to death in Swamibag area of the capital on Thursday noon.
The deceased was identified as Zakir Hossain, 30, son of Enayatul Haque. He used to run his own business.
Quoting Zakir's family, sub-inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said four persons wearing mask shot Zakir in front of his business firm in Swamibag area of the capital at noon which left him injured.
Later, Zakir was taken to a local clinic from where he was shifted to DMCH when his condition deteriorated. Duty doctor of the DMCH hospital declared him dead at around 2:15pm.
