CCC polls fair: CEC

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AKM Nurul Huda said a fair election has been held in Comilla City Corporation (CCC) except some sporadic incidents.

The CEC came up with the claim at a post-polls press conference at its Agargaon office in the capital at 5:00pm on Thursday.

Nurul Huda said the Comilla City Corporation elections have been held amid huge enthusiasm and festive mood since morning. All types of steps were taken in favour of the Election Commission in a bid to make the election peaceful.

Voting to two centres was suspended as the centres went out of the control of the concerned presiding officers, he said.
