CID to probe Raudha murder case

Staff Correspondent: The murder case filed over the death of Maldivian medical student and model Raudha Athif was transferred to Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Nazmul Karim Khan, Special Police Super of the CID's Rajahshai division confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

He said that CID inspector Asmaul Haque is the in-charge to investigate the case.

Earlier on Monday, Raudha’s father appealed to file a murder case after appearing before the Rajshahi chief judicial magistrate court. Justice Saiful Islam after accepting the plea recorded and ordered Shah Makhdum police station to record as a murder case.

On March 29, police recovered the body of Maldives’ national Rauda from Rajshahi Islami Bank Medical College girl hostel room no 209. College authority on the same night file an unnatural death case with Shah Makhdum thana. Metropolitan detective branch was investigating the case.
