CJ for appointing more women judges

Staff Correspondent: Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Mahmud Hossain assured that he will remain aware of appointing more women judges in the High Court (HC).

“We will remain aware of the appointment of more women judges in the High Court. We will consider appointing more women judges as district and sessions judges and chief judicial magistrates,” the chief justice said while addressing a reception programme of Bangladesh Women Judges Association (BWJA) in Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) in the capital on Saturday.

Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury attended the reception programme as the chief guest.
