CJ points out reasons of case backlog

Staff Correspondent: The Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha has pointed out several reasons of increasing the number of pending cases with the courts across the country.

He said, "Case backlog is growing higher day by day due to several reasons. Of the reasons, delay in trial process, old administrative process and office technology, traditionally stuck in case management and lack of judges are mostly responsible for creating the backlog."

The Chief Justice came up with the remarks at a programme at Supreme Court Auditorium on Saturday.
