CNG stations to stay shut 6hrs during Ramadan

Staff Correspondent: State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that the CNG filling stations across the country will stay closed for six hours from 5:00pm to 11:00pm daily during the month of Ramadan.

The minister made the announcement while briefing media at Bidyut Bhaban at Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue in Dhaka on Thursday.

He said, "The general people are suffering in the scorching heat due to acute power shortage. The overall power supply will be back to normal by Saturday."

In reply to a question, the minister said that Summit Bibiyana and Summit Meghnaghat will be inaugurated on Saturday. So, there is a possibility that the overall power supply will be normal.

The problem of load shedding will get permanent solution within 3-4 years, he added.
