CU VC gets death threat

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram:  Vice-Chancellor of Chattogram University (CU) Professor Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury has got a death threat over his cell phone.

Two general diaries (GD) were filed with Khulshi and Hathazari police stations in this connection on Tuesday noon.

The CU VC said he received a call from an unknown number on August 16 in the morning, adding that the caller hurled abusive words at him and gave him death threats.

“The caller threatened to slaughter me if I was found anywhere,” the VC said.
