CU professor's hanging body recovered

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong:  Police recovered the hanging body of a professor of Chittagong University (CU) from his residence on the university campus here on Tuesday afternoon.

The body was identified as Abul Kalam Azad, a professor of Mathematics Department and also a former dean of Science Faculty.

Following information from the victim's wife Dr Shahanara Begum, who is also a professor of Chemistry department of CU, police recovered the body from their residence in South Campus Paharaika Housing area around 5.00pm, said Mokaddes Mia, in-charge of a CU police outpost.

Hathazari police, members of CU proctorial body and magistrate were also present during recovery of the body.
