Cabinet approves proposed budget of Tk 4,00,266 crore

Staff Correspondent: The Cabinet at its special meeting on Thursday approved the proposed budget of Tk 4,00, 266 crore for the new fiscal year (2017-18).
It was approved around 12:15pm with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chairing the special meeting held at the parliament complex, Parliament Secretariat sources said.
The Cabinet also endorsed the Appropriation (supplementary) Bill-2017 and the Appropriation Bill-2017.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith and other cabinet ministers and state ministers concerned attended the meeting.
