Cabinet okays 18 procurement proposals

Special Correspondent: A total of 18 procurement proposals were approved by the Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase on Tuesday.

The committee gave the approval to the proposals at a meeting with Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu in the chair.

The proposals include, among others, constructing duel gauge rail-line on Dhaka-Tongi 3rd and 4th sections and Tongi-Joydebpur section under project (1st amendment), at a cost of Tk 1,339.79 crore.

Additional secretary Mostafizur Rahman of the Cabinet Division briefed reporters after the meeting.

He said the committee also gave approval to purchase 1,908 metric tonnes of roofing sheets (tin) at a cost of Tk27.99 crore for Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
