Cabinet okays public holidays for 2018

Secretariat Correspondent: The cabinet has approved a proposal for a list of government holidays for the year 2018 with a total of 22 public holidays.

The approval was given in the regular meeting of the cabinet held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Monday.

After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam briefed reporters.

According to the approved lists, there would be 14 public holidays in 2018. In addition, there would be another eight holidays, which would be observed on executive order from the government.
