Call for greater national unity to return functional democracy

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Oikya Prokriya urged all political parties and organisations for a greater national unity to return functional democracy in the country.

The organization emerged with five-point demand and nine goals at conference room in the capital’s Jatiya Press Club on Saturday.

The demand includes to form an poll-time government through discussion after dissolving the current parliament before announcing schedule of the election.

United Front leader and Nagarik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna read the declaration.

Later, convener of Jatiya Oikya Prokriya, also chairman of Gono Forum, eminent jurist Dr Kamal Hossain spoke over its goals and future plans.
