Cargo trawler collides with Green Line launch in Barisal

Staff Correspondent: A cargo trawler capsized after colliding with a Dhaka-bound launch named MV Green Line-2 in Lamchhari area of Kirtankhola River in Barisal on Saturday afternoon.

No reports of casualties or injuries were available immediately.

The accident took place around 4:30pm.

Sources said that a cargo ship was heading towards Barisal from Dhaka collided with the passenger launch in the area, leaving the cargo capsized. Meanwhile, the passenger launch anchored in Lamchhari area as its deck got damaged due to the collision.

Confirming the matter, Kaunia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Selim Reza said that all the passengers in Green Line-2 launch are safe now.
