Case filed over Dhaka airport bomb attack

Staff Correspondent: A case was filed today in connection with yesterday’s bomb attack near police check-post at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city that left a youth dead.

Sub-Inspector Yeasin Khandakar of airport police station filed the case on Saturday evening.

Airport police station Officer-in-Charge Nur-e-Azam Mia confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

A suicide bomber was killed as he attempted to attack a police check post at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport intersection in Dhaka at 7:30pm.

Hours after the incident, Terrorism monitoring group SITE Intelligence citing IS's mouthpiece Amaq news agency reported it as “suicide bombing”.
