Case filed over raid at Panthapath

Staff Correspondent: Police have filed a case against unnamed persons over the Tuesday’s anti-militant drive at Hotel Olio International in the capital's Panthapath area.

Sub-Inspector Imrul filed the case (Case no-15) with Kalabagan police station around 11:45pm on Wednesday.

Kalabagan police station duty officer Abdus Salam confirmed the matter to risingbd.com around 12:30pm.

On Tuesday morning, the law enforcers launched an operation named 'August Bite' after a militant had set off explosives in which Saiful Islam was killed.

The militant Saiful Islam was a student of Khulna BL College and resident of Dumuria upazila of Khulna.

Police claimed that the slain militant planned to carry out a suicide attack in the capital during National Mourning Day.
