‘Case to be filed over FR tower fire incident’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia has said that a case will be filed over the deadly fire incident in FR tower in capital’s Banani.

The DMP commissioner made the assertion while addressing newsmen after visiting the devastating fire spot on Friday.

Asaduzzaman Mia said, “We have identified the owner of the building. Negligence of duty may be the reason behind the fire incident. Some probe committees have been formed in this regard. Legal action will be taken after proper investigation.”

“We have come to know that fire service personnel recovered six more bodies searching the building. We are relying on the information of firemen as there is no scope to go inside the building without permission. The number of victims is 25 now, he added.”
