Chief Justice Sinha's leave ended

Staff Correspondent: Law Minister Anisul Huq said that Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha did not extend his leave so, from tomorrow he will be counted as absent.

The minister said this while replying to newsmen on Friday night.

Anisul Huq said that according to the constitution, senior judge of the Appellate Division Md Abdul Wahhab Miah will run his duty as acting chief justice in absence of SK Sinha.

Earlier, Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha went on one month leave due to his illness on Monday (October 2).

SK Sinha took charge as Chief Justice on January 17, 2015. Chief Justice SK Sinha is set to retire on January 31, 2018.
