Child Raifa dies due to negligence: Probe report

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Three-year-old Raifa Khan died due to negligence of doctors and authority of Max hospital in Chattogram, according to the government probe report.

Chattogram journalist union and press club leaders unveiled the investigation report in a press conference at Chattogram Press Club on Friday noon.

The report also recommended that the three doctors should be punished for their negligence.

A five-member probe committee led by Chattogram Civil surgeon submitted the report over the death of three-year-old Raifa Khan at Max Hospital.

Earlier on Jun 23, following throat pain, Raifa Khan, 3, daughter of Rubel Khan, was admitted to Max`s hospital on the advice of a doctor. Later, the kid died due to negligence of doctors in the hospital.
