Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citycell, Mehboob Chowdhury, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday.
A team of ACC led by deputy director Sheikh Abdus Salam arrested Mehboob Chowdhury after his arrival from Sri Lanka on Saturday afternoon.
ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter.
He was taken to Banani police station. Later, he will be produced before the court on Sunday.
On Wednesday, the anti-graft watchdog sued former foreign minister M Morshed Khan, his wife Nasrin Khan and some others for allegedly embezzling over Tk 350 crore of AB Bank.
