Civil Aviation executive engineer sent to jail

Staff Correspondent: An executive engineer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has been sent to jail on charge of accumulation of wealth beyond his known sources of income.

Judge Ahsan Habib of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order after the hearing rejecting his bail plea on Tuesday.

Earlier, Investigation officer ACC's Deputy Director Manzurul Alam produced the accused Asir Uddin before the court.

ACC prosecution wing deputy assistant director Sahidur Rahman confirmed the matter to media.

A team of ACC led by ACC director Syed Iqbal arrested Asir Uddin from Shahjalal International Airport area in Dhaka this morning.
