Secretariat Correspondent: Owners of all types of coaching centres running in the country have been asked to close the activities of the coaching centres three days before the imminent Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations begin.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the high-powered National Monitoring Committee held at the education ministry on Monday with Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid in the chair.
The meeting was held to ensure smooth environment for the examinations.
The meeting discussed different issues including preventing the spread of rumour over question paper leakage, action against those supplying question papers on Facebook and bringing law and order situation under control.
The candidates must enter their respective centres 30 minutes before the examinations begin. No candidates will be able to carry mobile phones with them, the meeting said.
