'Community policing wins people's heart'

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzamana Khan Kamal said that community policing has won the heart of people. If the system   can be more advanced, police will get the benefits in working, many crimes will also decrease.

The Minister made the comment while speaking an after-rally programme at the headquarters of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday.

The programme was organized marking the Community Police Day-2017. Bangladesh Police is observing the day today (October 28) for the first time in all units across the country.

Home Minister said community policing and police agency are jointly working to curb militancy, drugs and terrorism. Police are taking measures immediately after they provide information over crimes to police regularly.
