Constable Sher Ali to receive PPM award

Staff Correspondent: Constable Sher Ali of Chittagong Detective Branch is going to receive the prestigious President Police Medal (PPM).

Sher Ali became a known name to people after an image of him went viral on social media when he came to rescue a child who was injured severely in a road crash.

Besides, three other police officials will get the award for the bravery and heroism in their services in last one year.  

The other officials are- Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Deputy Commissioner (South) SM Mostain Hossain, Katwali police station Officer-in-Charge Jasim Uddin and DB police constable Ridoy Mahmud Sikdar.

In addition, CMP police commissioner Iqbal Bahar was nominated for Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) for his outstanding performance in police department.

Confirming the matter, CMP deputy commissioner (Sadar) Faruk Ahamad said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the award to them.
